Centuries and millenia have marched on. After all this time, and especially as we have just entered a new millenium of unprecedented possibility, do we need God anymore? Does he have any significance, hold any sway? Is God cultural baggage? Should we put him on a shelf? Is He collective conscience? Or is he really God?
God Sessions is our way as a faith community of serving those who, though they don't feel drawn to church, have sincere questions. Questions like, 'What's life all about? Why am I here? What happens when I die? What is real?' God Sessions is a highly respectful, and yet hopefully a spiritually enlightening expose on the meaning of life.
It consists of an introductory night, where the question, 'Is there more to life than this?' becomes the basis of a thought-provoking presentation. It may or may not include a meal. Thereafter, guests can decide whether they want to sign up for the other four weeks.
In a relaxed, non-intimidating environment, we invite your participation in asking questions and arriving at your own conclusion about who God is, and where things like hope, death, meaning, Jesus, truth, faith and doubt fit into it all.
Based on the feedback of 100s of not-into-church Cape Town people who've done this course previously, we're sure you'll find it deeply meaningful in your own spiritual journey.
