New
opportunities to partner with NETwork
1. Computer
Literacy Classes and Teaching English
NETwork is looking for volunteers to set up and run small English as well as
computer classes for some of their clients. Many have expressed a need to improve
their ability to communicate in English, in order to enhance their work
opportunities. While the classes would be run at the NETwork premises in
Wynberg, the timing and length of commitment will depend on the number of
volunteers and their availability.
2. Exciting new research project!
NETwork is looking for a team of people to investigate a variety of support
services and opportunities for NETwork clients in the areas of accommodation,
training providers, legal aid and health providers to name a few. This would
involve internet searchers, phone calls, personal visits, documenting of
information known by Andre and capturing it in an Excel spreadsheet. The
internet search and phoning can either be done from home or from our premises
in Wynberg.
3. Design & Printing
NETwork is looking for someone to assist us with the design and printing of a
small flyer, giving a short update on NETwork and a list of employment
opportunities that NETwork clients are seeking. The content has been complied,
but will require editing and layout design.
4. PowerPoint presentation
NETwork is looking for someone to assist us in creating a short PowerPoint (or
similar) presentation, which will contain a short update on NETwork, some
snippets from existing clients and again a list of employment opportunities
that NETwork clients are seeking. This would require the person to visit one of
our workshops and to interview some of the clients, take some photographs etc
and put this to music.
