As more and more people come through the programme NETwork continues to seek suitable placements, part-time or full-time, permanent or temporary or even once off jobs in the following areas: construction, housekeeping, drivers, and shop, office or factory assistants. So if you need help in your garden on Saturday or a new staff member at work, please contact NETwork on 021 761 5370/1 or andre@commongroundchurch.co.za to discuss your employment needs. NETwork would like to offer English and computer training next year. If you would like to be a part of this exciting initiative please contact us for more information.
During the past two months over 30 one-on-one interviews have been conducted with people sent via partner organisations -Adnois Musati, Vineyard, Christ Church and Joshua Generation Church. Of these 22 people have completed the Network’s Learning Journey programme. This series of 7 workshops seeks to equip individuals with skills and confidence in the job seeking process and as such topics include CV writing and preparing for interviews, employments rights in SA and exploring work opportunities, personal goal setting and conflict resolution in the workplace. The feedback and participation in workshops from the first groups has been encouraging and we look forward to the new groups starting next week.
“I wasn’t expecting this to be a part of molding my life.” Lloyd
A big thank you to those who have made employment opportunities available.
