The Real Jesus
We continued 'The Real Jesus' Series last Sunday inviting our City to come investigate who Jesus is and why
it matters.
Sibs Sibanda from God First Church in Johannesburg came and preached up a storm in all six Sunday meetings, truly challenging and encouraging us through the story of Jesus and the Rich Young Ruler.

Common Ground Seniors Small Group
Common Ground Church has launched a Seniors Ministry Group for all who are over 55.
We meet fortnightly on Wednesday at 10:00am in the visitor’s lounge at the Rondebosch main venue.

Friday evenings, and are young, full of energy and who enjoys hanging out
with kids about to enter into their teenage years? Why don't you considering getting involved with 'Friday Night Ignite' every Friday at Common Ground Church Rondebosch from 5:30pm - 8:00pm! These
evenings are run like a youth group for pre-teens and we have
loads of fun as we connect with and reach this age group in our City.

We have streamlined all our weekday courses, training and events into
an eight-week quarterly cycle. We call it Monday Night Life and it will
help simplify and focus our training and courses, leaving the rest of
the week for Small Groups and open space in your life and ministry.

the Health Sector can catalyze change. We will be discussing the topic
of a new era for health care in South Africa and how we can make
a difference.

Worship Audition
Calling all drummers, bassists, electric guitarists and keyboardists
If
you're a member of Common Ground Church and are a suitably skilled
musician who can play drums, electric guitar, bass, or the keyboard, and
are interested in finding out more about becoming involved in serving
in the Common Ground worship bands (all bands play at all sites:
Rondebosch, Innercity, South), please come along to our muso's 'looking
in' time.

Common Ground is linking arms with other churches and Christian
organisations to run an outreach week on the UCT campus over the week of the 11-15 October 2010.
We are looking to put together a team of Common
Grounders who can help make this event a success and make sure we reach the campus with the truth of Christ.

Volunteer Coordinator Vacancy
Are you organised, proactive and eager to help make a whole lot of
children's Christmases a whole lot more 'Christmas-ey'?
The Common Good
Foundation is looking for someone to coordinate the 'Bags Of Love'
initiative!
'Bags of Love' is one way for Common Grounders to respond to
poverty in our city: by filling a bag with personalised gifts for a
child that may otherwise not receive a Christmas present this
year.

DNA
Should you decide you want to become more than a guest, but rather a
family member of our community, our DNA course is your opportunity to
spend time getting to know our history and our heart. It's also a good
opportunity to get to know some of the leaders in the church and to ask
questions before making a more solid commitment to our family. The next DNA will take place on Friday evening 10. September and Saturday morning 11. September.
